#LockdownWeddingStories: A couple from Agra gets married without guests

This lockdown has surely crushed everyone’s plans especially for the couples who planned their weddings in the spring and summer season. Though we have seen some couples who still got married amid lockdown proving that they don’t require guests or lavish celebrations to tie the knot.

Recently, we came across a couple from Agra, UP who got married in the same way in this lockdown. They got married with no pomp and show required for a wedding because of this lockdown situation. Both the groom as well as the bridegroom belonged to Agra and got married in the presence of their parents while everyone was wearing face masks during the ceremony.

The couple- Yogesh Singh and Reema really set a very good example for the whole world as they got married following all the rules of social distancing during the ceremony. Above all, there was no guest and no music. It was just attended by the priest as well as the families of the bride and groom.

The bridegroom, Yogesh quoted that the wedding date was been decided around six months ago. But, because of coronavirus lockdown, their families were thinking of postponing the marriage. However, the bridegroom persuaded his family members not to postpone the marriage as marriage could be conducted while following all the rules of social distancing and safety.

Both the couple’s families agreed to the idea proposed by Yogesh and decided to go ahead with the wedding. The couple tied the knot while maintaining social distancing norms and wearing a mask. The bride also said that their wedding will set an example to others that marriages can be celebrated in a simple manner too. All the people present at the wedding wore masks and exchanged garlands while maintaining proper distance.

We all would agree with Reema that all we need is love to get married… Nothing else!
