Our love for Bollywood weddings is inexplicable! We love how much we get to get inspired by these celebrities when they plan their wedding and uniqueness to it in their own way! Recently, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot and gave us so much to talk about and get inspired to. Athiya’s bridal looks really took our breath away… but the wedding gave us so much more to admire! All her pre and post-wedding looks were drop-dead gorgeous and they created a buzz on social media.

Athiya’s many bridal looks and each one is pretty simple with one standout element that she let shine! Be it her outfits, or the jewellery- she has given 2023 brides enough inspiration for so many different looks!

Above all, the décor also added to the beauty!

The Glam Welcome Dinner

Athiya kept her look really traditional and comfortable for the welcome dinner. She went for a fuchsia pink anarkali and bandhni dupatta by Lajjoo. It was a simple, no-fuss look that looked really pleasing!

Beginning with her Mehendi…

Athiya chose a gorgeous custom chikankari lehenga in the most muted hue by Anjul Bhandari for the mehendi. This stunning lehenga was hand embroidered by the women artisans in the villages around Lucknow which made it look heavenly. Though the highlight of her look was her gorgeous antique earrings that belonged to Athiya’s Nani! Even her maangtikka as well as bangles were matching the piece of heirloom jewellery.

Then it was Muhuratam

Muhuratam was a traditional affair and for that Athiya went for a completely traditional look which can be the goal for South Indian brides! She wore a plain gold handwoven tissue kanchivaram with a fuchsia pink blocked pallu. This stunning saree was from Madhuraya Creations, a heritage revival boutique. She also chose a traditional South Indian choker and the ghuttapusal necklace that completed the look beautifully.

Haldi Ceremony looked like the most fun

The haldi photos looked really fun! The bride took a simple and elegant approach in her attire and chose a vintage Ritu Kumar outfit. Athiya wore a gorgeous ivory cotton and intricate handmade gold gota work anarkali and gharara skirt which had that old chai dipped cotton fabric and the antique gold work that took 2000 hours to embroider!

The Dreamy Wedding

In her characteristic style, Athiya chose an elegant yet understated pink chikankari lehenga by designer Anamika Khanna. She completed the picture of old-world charm and luxury with polki jewellery. The groom complemented her look with an embroidered sherwani by the same designer.

The After-Party

This ensemble was our favourite! Athiya Shetty donned a gorgeous one-of-a-kind outfit that was all about being comfortable. It was a pretty white yet breezy attire to dance the night away in! She opted for a Lucknowi pant-suit with chikankari work paired with pearls and sequin work by Anjul Bhandari!  She paired it with sneakers and diamond hoops- very practical choices that made it look super comfy yet chic!

The Reception

Athiya chose a rather offbeat outfit for her Reception. It was a customised Anamika Khanna ensemble which seemed classy and comfy to dance the night away in. She paired it with customised jewellery from Birdhichand.

We were in love with everything she chose… Tell us your thoughts in the comments…
