Your wedding makeup artist is one of the most important people that can make or break your wedding look. They will also be the one who will be spending house with you, therefore, your MUA’s hold prime importance amongst all your wedding vendors. You have to have that perfect wedding makeup as it is the most special day of your life therefore, your wedding makeup artist has to be the best amongst the rest. It will be something that will help you glow in all of your wedding pictures.

So, before you book your wedding makeup artist for your wedding makeup artist, do keep these few things in mind…

Start with asking their availability in these times for your intimate wedding

You must know that not all the makeup artists are back at work so it’s better to start your communication by asking if they are taking any bookings in these times. If you are planning an intimate weddinging a few months then you should be aware of their availability beforehand.

Will they be able to travel to the venue?

There are some MUAs who have started operating from their own studios, so if you want someone who can travel for your wedding makeup then you need to ask them that. Tell them your venue’s location and also confirm the same before booking them for the wedding.

Are they flexible with any date or venue change?

As per the current situation, things are a bit dicey as you never know what changes you need to make as per the government regulations. Therefore, you need to ask them if they are ok with a date change or a venue change option, especially if you haven’t made a decision about it. This will help your makeup artist to be aware of the situation be able to adjust accordingly, or simply tell you if they aren’t comfortable with any changes.

Asking about the number of people in the team

At this point in time, the number of people at gatherings is an important thing. As we all need to follow so many government regulations for hygiene which requires to have a lesser number of people to be present around you.

What Safety Protocols and Norms will they be following?

Such time calls for some strict precautions! As all that makeup will be going on your face which makes it essential for your MUA to follows all the sanitization guidelines. Those brushes and sponges need to be sanitized before being used. The team also need to wear mask, gloves, shields or even PPE kits while doing your makeup. Above all, everyone coming to the wedding, including your makeup team have to get a temperature check done before entering the venue.

What is their Cancellation Policy?

Again, because of the current scenario, anything may change within some days, which may force you to push your wedding date. This may force you to cancel or postpone the booking or the makeup artist not being able to come in on the new date. Ensure that they have a cancellation policy so that your money doesn’t stay stuck.

We hope this helps you to make the right decision for your intimate wedding.
