After all that Holi madness, the real struggle starts when you have to get rid of that colour from your skin as well as hair. We have talked about prepping for the Holi in our previous blog which could have saved you but, if you were not able to follow these tips then you can surely end up being a mess post-Holi celebrations. Trust us, just stepping into the shower won’t help you to get rid of that colour plus, you need to be gentle on your skin and hair as that has already been damaged by the harsh colours. Fret not, just follow these skin and hair care tips to get rid of all the colour and saving from the damage…

Follow this for skin

  • The first thing that should be done in the whole regime is to dab milk with the help of cotton pads on your skin. No matter how dark that colour is, applying milk will surely help you to get that colour off from your skin without any irritation
  • If the colour is faded, then you should apply some homemade Ubtan or face mask. It will not only exfoliate your skin but help the skin to overcome the damage caused by the colour. All you need to do is mix gram flour, full-milk curd, a pinch of turmeric powder, drops of lemon and rose water to make an effective mask for your skin. Use it to gently scrub off all the colour and then rinse with lukewarm water.
  • After getting rid of the colour you need to lather your skin with coconut, olive or sweet almond oil a before dozing off to get rid of tiredness and dullness on your skin

Follow this for hair

  • After Holi, the first thing that strikes us is getting rid of the colour from our hair and scalp is by shampooing it off. DON’T do it as it will just make your hair more frizzy as well as brittle. Trust us, shampoos are not the saviours! All you need to do is letting the water run through your hair till it runs clear. Then, condition it deeply and then use shampoo the next day after oiling your hair for the night
  • You can nourish your hair with a hair mask made from soaked fenugreek seeds in curd. Make a thick paste and then apply it for 30 minutes and then wash your hair. This will help in restoring the moisture balance as well as avoiding any kind of itching. After washing your hair you also need to use lemon juice on the scalp to get rid of dryness
  • If all this doesn’t work then you can visit a professional and pamper yourself as well as make your hair healthy and lustrous

We hope these tips will help you get the desired results…
